Bear & Teddy's Story

Hi, my name is Teddy, I'm the one on the right and I live with my "parents", Bob and Mary. Sharon and Kerri introduced me to Bob and Mary in March 2008 when I was nine weeks old and weighed about seven pounds. WOW! Was I a cutie; all fuzzy, cuddly, beautiful black eyes, and well mannered. Of course, Bob and Mary loved me immediately and from that day on I have been theirs to love forever. I understand in the corporate world it's called a Win-Win situation! Sharon and Kerri had taught me things such as "no bite", "back-up" and the most important thing...."lights out". Lights out in dog language means it's time for bed and I need to sleep all night. I had played a lot with my doggie parents, littermates and Sharon and Kerri's other dogs, so I was well socialized which helped me just slip into Bob and Mary's lives. I had so much energy that walking me twice daily, teaching me more commands, learning to retrieve toys, being petted and fond over, just made Bob and Mary want more of the same. Sharon thrilled me by bringing one of my three younger half brothers (Bear) over to our home for a play date and you guessed it....love at first sight and Bear became my forever family member!
Bear and I are so lucky to have experienced such a great beginning to life. People refer to Bear and me as "good stock" and say we have excellent blood lines. I don't really understand all of that but I do know I am a good dog and when Bear and I are out for walks we just naturally hold our heads up high and we prance like the Princes we are meant to be. It's not unusual for Bear and I to cause chaos when we are out shopping, people just flock to us, but then you know that...just look at us! I am so happy that Bob and Mary chose to have both Bear and me because we are each other's best buddies and we help each other. For example, Bear doesn't like the sound of sirens so I get real close to him and kiss his face, lick his ears and show real concern when he cries. Bear helped me learn to jump down from places higher than twice my height, so it's really great that we can console each other, show affection and best of all....chase!
We are now eleven months old and weigh the same, fifteen pounds and eleven inches at the shoulder. We are a little bigger because we are males, having said that, we are fully grown and have a lifetime duty to protect Bob and Mary. Before I forget, Bob and Mary took us all the way to the Minneapolis, MN area to live for the summer months, we were perfect gentlemen on the long ride, visiting at the relatives home and with the grandchildren once we arrived at our summer residence.
So, you thinking of having one of Sharon and Kerri's puppies in your life? Well, just e-mail Sharon or Kerri and they will put you in contact with my Bob and Mary for more details about Bear and Me, but be forewarned, you will have to listen to lots of stories about how "cute and good" we are. Just thinking about you talking with my Bob and Mary makes me feel warm all over! I know Sharon and Kerri will do an excellent job coaching you on what we dogs like to eat, how we learn to "potty in the right places" and all the important health care instructions.
Enjoy your puppy because we stay little for such a short time, but since we are so loveable, we will forever be puppies. Look around the web site, you can see more pictures of Bear and me.
Bye, Teddy
